1 INTRODUCTION
South Coaster Surfboards South Australia
South Coaster surfboards were made by Castalloy Pty Ltd who were based at Mooringie Ave. Plympton. Castalloy were primarily an aluminium casting business but during the early 60s they manufactured surfboards out of polystyrene foam and fibreglassed using epoxy resin. They were sold around Australia through department stores such as Harris Scarfes and John Martins

The Swordfish surfboard inset above is a ployester resin and polyurethane foam board. So it seems like they either made them or outsourced them to have a range of choises for customers.
